Originally from the tropical island of Dominican Republic, I live in tree-filled New England, USA. Here I design art prints, repeating surface patterns, and stand-alone placements prints.
I'm available for licensing and also sell directly to customers via Spoonflower and Etsy.
About Lauren Inés Studio
Established in 2026, Lauren Inés Studio has a vibe that is classic and elegant; or sometimes cute and frivolous.
Because of my Latina background, themes I love to revisit are tropical, Dominican, and Caribbean. I share my designs with others who want a reminder, or a celebration, of home, as well as with those who enjoy these themes, despite where they're from.
How I Got Started:
The Embarrassing Book Cover
Some years ago, I self-published a book, and I felt I was creative enough to tackle the cover, so I did. Fast-forward a year, I was embarrassed by my cover. I don't know if it's ever happened to you, but something I was once proud of suddenly looked amateurish.
I contemplated hiring a designer. After all, I like supporting artists, but because I considered myself to be somewhat of an artist myself…I felt I needed to take on my own cover. I lamented that I didn’t have the skills.
That’s when I realized the skills were all I was missing. The eye for colors, the taste, the drive to design—all were there. Light-bulb, epiphany: I started studying night after night to be a graphic designer, a journey which quickly rerouted toward surface designer and art-business entrepeneur.
Today, I’m still a writer, but I’m no longer a somewhat-artist. (By the way, my book is called How to Heal Your BFRB: 4 Steps to Stop Compulsive Skin Picking, Hair Pulling & More, and I think the final cover looks nice and professional.)
Looking back, decorating my home has always been one of my favorite things to do. And I've always sketched, doodled, and drawn, as well as designed in one way or another. When I set out to become a professional artist, I remembered something I had pushed away: I once dreamed of being this. Now, I share what I make with the world via Lauren Inés Studio.
